STEAM Carnival

SOHO Impact, in partnership with Two Bit Circus Foundation (2BCF), hosted a brick play area and mosaic mural build at two STEAM Carnivals.

The 2BCF STEAM Carnival is a social amusement event that uses games and immersive hands-on experiences to engage students in STEAM: science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Attractions include student projects, community partner exhibits and main stage performances. The objectives of the brick play activities were to inspire creativity and collaborative engagement through play. Our community partners identified Michelle Obama as a real-life superhero in the Compton community, leading our Brick Artist Bongoo to design a mural featuring her for the kids of Compton to create through bricks. For the Hawthorne community, with the students proximity to SpaceX our Brick Artist Bongoo designed a space mural for the kids of Hawthorne to create through bricks.
